Introduction! The egyptians believed that the gods and goddesses controlled nature and therefore bulit temples to honor their gods. They offered them food, gifts, and prayers.Religion was very important to the egyptians. They worshipped hundreds of gods. Every region used a different god to look after them. There were about forty-two different regions. Homes used lesser gods or godesses for everyday problems. Many gods and godesses were shown as animals or humans with an animal's head.
